One-way silicone seal that physically blocks sewer gases, viral aerosols, pests, and odours. Install in 30 seconds. No maintenance required.
With no use, the water in a P-trap evaporates within two to four weeks and the barrier is gone, leaving an open path for gases.
Medical-grade silicone rubber. Four flexible ribs that adapt to any drain diameter. No glue, no expensive tools.

Four silicone ribs hold the seal without glue. The weight of the water opens the valve. With no water, it stays shut. Always.
Gravity keeps the valve closed. An absolute barrier. It doesn't evaporate, it doesn't dry out.
The weight of the water opens the valve and ensures full flow.
Remove it without tools, rinse it under warm water and refit it.
Medical-grade silicone rubber. 2500+ ASSE cycles.
Lift the grate, drop the seal into the drain body, put the grate back. That is the whole job. No plumber, no tools, no adhesive and no pipework — and the seal works from the first second.

Green Drain does not self-certify performance. Aerosol retention, flow, pressure resistance, membrane durability and chemical resistance were all tested by independent accredited laboratories — every figure has a numbered report.
The >99.9% figure was measured against a viral surrogate (MS2) under laboratory conditions. The protocol and its limits are set out on the testing page.
A one-way floor drain valve classified as a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745. Conformity is self-declared by the manufacturer under Annex IV — for Class I devices that are non-sterile and have no measuring function, no notified body is involved. Manufactured under ISO 13485:2016.
Green Drain™ is non-invasive, non-sterile, and without measurement functions — does not come into contact with the body. According to Annex VIII of the MDR classification rules, this places it in the lowest risk level.
Despite the low risk class, manufacturing runs under ISO 13485:2016 — medical device standards — including traceability by lot and change control.
